"Dubblewhopper" (Dubblewhopper)

Either a Maxima or a Juke. And I'm at a conundrum, both have CVT's (blaaah) both seat people about the same, just the Juke has AWD and the Maxima has FWD. I live in the stix Montana. I just don't know which one to choose. And I would like some feedback from fellow Opponauts to help me choose.
Here have some Datsun love:

But not in AWD form, I think.

Correct. But if he's willing to get a FWD, then it shouldn't impact the decision too much. I'd drive the shit out of a Nismo RS, those things are fucking awesome.

What's the purpose of the car? Baby hauler or professional vehicle?
You might be better off with a CPO Infinti G37 Manual Sedan. You can get RWD, AWD, and a manual. Unfortunately, they stopped making the manual G37s last year I think.

The Juke it is then.

I wouldn't get a Maxima just because its supposed to be replaced soon.

Oh the kids are in the latter stages of HS, so it would be for room. Personally, I prefer 2 seats like my Z, but then that is why I have the Z. lol

The Nismo starts at 30 G's, so not too bad.

Dodge Charger R/T over Maxima.

May I recommend Nismo RS? Keep in mind you can only get the manual with the FWD, but AWD only adds weight, who needs it!

That is one sweet, good lookin Juke though.

Why is the choice limited to two Nissans?

Just checked the website, the regular Nismo starts at $25k, while the RS starts at around $28k. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I'm going to take this as a cry for help. Choosing either one of those as a vehicle for a Jalop is a sign that he or she is a small step away from making abstract art in their garage with the business end of a 12 gauge.
I wish you'd step back from that ledge, my friend. It doesn't have to end this way.

I don't know, lol. The Altima is too small, according to the wife. And the Inifiniti's price is a tad out of range.

I agree, but I see a lot of them out here and I want something I do not see that often, like the Juke or the Maxima. Most Montanans have a thing for oversized trucks.

Odd cars to cross-shop. CVT would be deal-shattering for me, in any car. Clearly what you want is a Focus ST.

Toyota? Honda? Maybe a Ford Fusion? A Chevy SS?

Renegade. Manual. 4x4.
(I don't know why they haven't already licensed this.)

No Ford's and no Honda's unless the Prelude wakes up from the dirt nap. I would love the Chevy SS, alas but the wiffer says no. She is bat-shit terrified of snow.

On Nissan topic, the Maxima NISMO actually looks pretty cool and offers manual.

Christ I hate CVTs ... Tucson has 6-speed autobox ... and built to last. https://www.hyundaiusa.com/tucson/index.a… Also Hyundai Santa Fe.

Drive a Maxima. I think you'll find its engine endearing. Loads of torque and power. The car will genuinely surprise you.

Have you even driven a Maxima? You could do a LOT worse than a Maxima if you're looking for a fun car.

I have. I did not enjoy it. A "4 Door Sports Car" it is not.

If you look at it like a 4 Door Sports Car of course you're going to not like it. Ignore the stupid moniker and look at it for what it is. A fast, good looking, comfortable, practical 4 door sedan. It handles well (no it's not a canyon carver or a track rat), and is fast.

The kind of sort of red headed step child. I would drive one though. For once I won't even try to talk you out of selling it.
